Well, after two long days of driving, we did arrive safely in CO Sunday night. It wasn't quite the happy family experience I thought it would be, and I am certainly not looking forward to the drive home this weekend (in fact, I already told Simon I'd fly home and meet him and the boys there!) Here's a picture that pretty much sums up the trip:
James and John got to go visit the goats yesterday morning, and Grammie and Grandpa are boarding three horses right now, so we got to see those as well. I even touched one. ;) The goats were a little skittish around the boys (of course, with the way John squealed whenever he saw one and took off after it, it's hard to blame them!) Poor James reached out his hand to touch one, and the goat lowered her horns and just barely caught his hand with one. It didn't hurt him, but he was pretty scared and after that he wouldn't touch one; he didn't even want to touch the horses. Years from now we'll probably look back on this event as the beginning of a deep-seated fear of animals!! LOL I took lots of pictures, but here are just a few of the morning's activities:

Thanks for posting them. It looks like the boys are having a GREAT time...and I can remember some of those long car trips...someday it will be a fond memory :)
p.s. I just looked again at Peter's "driving" picture....he does have that Pranaitis boy face, doesn't he??? Those 3 are peas in a pod when it comes to sad faces :)
I don't know, I think they get that face from the Forsyth side
Those boys seem like they love it here! :) Gotta love the obligatory tractor pics - they are so classic! We would definitely love to have you down next time you visit! :)
This was a lovelly blog post
